Meet Dr. Chad Edwards

As Seen On

My Story:

Dr Edwards discusses his background and how Revolution Health & Wellness Clinic came to be.

My goal is to help get people as healthy as they can be. Period.

The current US medical system does an amazing job of treating illness and disease. We have CTs, MRI, countless labs, medications, and cutting edge technology to address any number of ailments. Many physicians ‘specialize’ and ‘sub-specialize’ meaning that their focus becomes more narrow. For example, once a physician graduates medical school they choose a ‘specialty’ or residency. After residency they can often choose a fellowship. At each point, they focus on a more narrow spectrum within the medical field.

This increasing specialization is fantastic when you have a specific problem and need the services of one of these ‘specialists’.

However, no part of the body works in isolation.

Who is focusing on the improvement of health and the prevention of disease? Who focuses on theunderlying cause of the illness/disease? What about the complex, chronically ill patient? What about the patient who doesn’t feel right even though all of their tests are “normal”?

The interaction of all bodily systems has no ‘natural’ specialty within medicine. My desire is to tie all of the body systems together in an approach to health promotion and the prevention of disease. This is the essence of Functional & Holistic Medicine.

There are 3 primary tenents of health (The Healthy Trinity) and they are the platform from which all prevention and medical treatment therapies are launched!

  1. Proper Nutrition
  2. Proper Exercise
  3. The 3 R’s: Rest, Recovery from exercise, and Reduction in stress

Helping others increase their health and fitness through these 3 areas is the single best thing I can do for my patients, the medical system, and the cost of healthcare!

However, I fully understand that there are circumstances and situations that are not preventable. There are times that patients have illnesses or diseases that are not completely addressed through these 3 tenets. In these cases, we have to treat the medical condition.

With the goal of increasing overall health in every patient, I will address medical problems with the most cost effective, and lowest risk, approach available. That may mean medications. It might also mean something very different from traditional medicine – things like accupuncture, chiropractic care, herbal medications, or any other therapy that may be deemed beneficial but it will always be in conjunction with the 3 tenets mentioned above.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT I WANT PATIENTS TO GET BETTER. IT DOESN’T REALLY MATTER HOW WE ACHIEVE THE GOAL, WE JUST NEED TO GET THERE!
